Almost every member and friend of our Congregation is assigned to one of five Service Groups. Each service group takes turns planning and providing coffee and treats for after Sunday service coffee fellowship. Service groups are sometimes called upon to help for congregational events, including funerals. Service groups also function as ‘phoning trees’. The service groups are organized by the Grace Lutheran Church Women.
Our Mission Awareness and Direction Ministry (MADM) makes our congregation aware of the mission works of our denomination, and other Christian organizations, and encourages us to support missions with our time, talents, prayer and resources.
Our Grace Lutheran Church Women group is the ‘caring arm of the congregation’, stocking the kitchen, organizing and serving food and refreshments at funerals, organizing service groups, supporting missions, providing Bibles for Infant Baptisms, and hand-embroidered keepsake Banners for our Confirmands.
Our Grace Choir is a traditional congregational choir. The choir provides special music on 1st and 3rd Sundays of each month from September through the first Sunday in June. The choir’s repertoire includes classical and traditional hymns plus contemporary praise songs arranged for choirs. Grace Choir practices on Thursdays at 7:00 pm. Deni Skutshek is the director of the choir and Ellie Schindel is our accompanist.
Our Praise Band is a contemporary group that includes keyboards, guitar and flute. Praise Band provides modern worship music for our 9:00 AM contemporary service.. Praise Choir practices on Fridays at 4:00 PM.
