Youth (NOW) SUNDAY Night Youth Club: Calling all youth from 9-12th Grade! From 7-9PM on Sunday nights we are gathering for fellowship and learning. This year we are taking on your question about Faith and Christianity. Each Sunday we will tackle the things that you deal with as growing people in a world that demands that we question everything. Come and see what we are all about! Dec. 2009: What an awesome time Youth Club is! Youth club is for people in grades 9-12 and we meet every Monday from 7-9pm, downstairs at the church! After the convention we have really been trying to implement some of the things that Ken Moser spoke about. One thing we have done is that we have started singing. Each Monday we have a time for worship, a time for questions and Bible games along with Q and A time and Bible study. We have a wonderful group that is enthusiastic about diving into God’s Word and learning what it means to be followers of Christ, so come on out and bring a friend!
Youth Sunday: The fourth Sunday of every month is “Youth Sunday!” This is our time to shine as leaders in the congregation. 1st Timothy 4:12 says, “Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young but be and example for the believers in your speech, your conduct, your love, faith, and purity.” There are ways for you to participate from singing or playing in the praise band to ushering, to actually leading the service up front! If you are interested in knowing more or would like to volunteer please contact Pastor Karen at the church or at pk@gracelutherankelowna.com. Following these services we have lunch together and participate in a fun event, including lazar tag, beach parties, arcade games, mini-golf, go carts, movies, bowling and similar activities.
