Evangelism Jesus has a passion for all people. Jesus is described in the Bible as the light of the world. Jesus wants them to come to know Him and experience His love and His mercy. Jesus uses His church in spreading the good news: "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16) Jesus calls us to invite people from our community and shine Jesus' light upon them. In 2008, Grace Lutheran Church sharing our passion for Jesus with our community in many ways. Pastor Ed will be writing special themed stories, to be published throughout the year in the widely-circulated Kelowna Capital News. Our choirs will be presenting special concerts and GLC Kismet Quartet will be recording a Healing CD in February, with a special CD-release concert in early spring. Our youth will once again be involved within and beyond our community bringing God's Word to children through our Vacation Bible School summer camps. Our Mission Awareness Committee continues to spread the word on various Christian charities, as well as offer monthly hands-on support in the kitchen at the Kelowna Gospel Mission. Our GLC Women and Men, Happiness Group, Sunshiners, Teacup Ladies, and Monday Prayer Group continue shining Jesus' light within our community and through fellowship.
