Jesus has a passion for all people. Jesus is described in the Bible as the light of the world. Jesus wants them to come to know Him and experience His love and His mercy. Jesus uses His church in spreading the good news:

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. (Matthew 5:14-16)

Jesus calls us to invite people from our community and shine Jesus’ light upon them.

Through the year, our church family/congregation shares our passion for Jesus with our community in many ways. Pastor Ed writes specially themed stories, published throughout the year in the widely-circulated Kelowna Capital News. Our youth are involved within our community bringing God’s Word to children through our Vacation Bible School summer camp. Our Mission Awareness and Direction Ministry spreads the word on various Christian charities, and assists, with hands-on support, the kitchen staff at the Kelowna Gospel Mission. Our GLC Women and Men strive to shine Jesus’ light within our community and through fellowship. Our Sunday school and our congregation participate in the annual Westside Daze Canada Day Saturday Parade with life-size Bible-story puppets. We celebrate the start of Advent with our Christmas Joy Concert, a congregational musical event designed as a special outing for the residents of the five Senior Homes our church ministers to through the year. We gather at various Senior Residences with our youth and adults to sing and share music. Whenever we have the opportunity to show, by example, Christ’s love for the people on this earth, we strive to do so, imperfections and all! We would love to include you. Come discover what being loved by Jesus is all about!
